New Delhi 18th June 2015 : There is no end to trouble for the Aam Aadmi Party. Already fighting an image battle with one minister accused of domestic violence and another one for holding fake degrees, sources say that the Delhi Police is filing chargesheet against 21 party MLAs in various cases.

Out of the 25 cases in which the Delhi Police is filing the chargesheet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been named in six cases.

Though cases against Kejriwal are political, charges against others also include serious offences like molestation, storing liquor bottle in premises, etc.

While Naresh Baliyan is reportedly being named in the liquor bottle case, Manoj Kumar has been named in the chargesheet for a molestation case. Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel has also been charged on serious offences of beating up people.

Soon after reports of Delhi Police's action surfaced, AAP leader Ashutosh claimed that the chargesheet is being filed to divert the attention of people from the controversy surrounding External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. She has been accused of giving undue favours to former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi for obtaining a visa for the United Kingdom.

"To divert attention from Sushma, story of 21 AAP MLAs to be arrested, is planted by MODI GOVT. Gullible TV channels are gleefully running. Haha," he tweeted. Also mocking the reports, he added, "My name is missing in the list of people to be arrested by Delhi police. Many cases Ag me also.Feeling left out and unimportant."

AAP is already facing trouble with Jitender Singh Tomar being arrested on charges of cheating, forgery and getting jobs on fake degree. After the allegations, he was forced to resign as the law minister. The arrest was made after the Bar Council of Delhi filed a criminal complaint against his alleged fake law degree. The Bar Council also suspended Tomar's license.

On the other hand, AAP leader Somnath Bharti has been accused by his wife Lipika Mitra of domestic violence and torture. Lipika had filed a 26-page complaint with the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) in which she alleged that Bharti had forced her to go for abortion when she became pregnant for the third time and that she once tried to slit her wrist due to unrelenting torture. She has also lodged a complaint about dowry and marriage under false promises.
