A press note from Vihuto Asumi, Secretary, Sumi Hoho, informed today that in the aftermath of the December 21, 2013 Aghuito incident, the Sumi public during a meeting on January 7, 2014, in resolution no. 2, had decided to abrogate relationships with NSCN (IM). Then on August 10, 2015, a meeting was held between Sumi frontal organizations and NSCN (IM) led by Kilo Kilonser, RH Raising at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur to resolve the issue. However, stated Asumi, “the meeting was inconclusive.”

“Till the issue is resolved between the two sides, the Sumi Hoho and its frontal organizations shall not participate in any meetings or programmes organized by the NSCN (IM),” asserted the Secretary.

When asked to comment on the framework agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and Government of India, Vihuto Asumi said, “We are neither against nor in support of the Peace Accord since we are yet to know the contents of the Accord.
