NSCN (R) asks NSCN (I-M), GPRN/NSCN to clarify stand

DIMAPUR: Alleging that both NSCN (I-M) and GPRN/NSCN continue to hunt NSCN (Reformation) workers, the MIP of the NSCN (R) on Friday said such act “will not go well” and sought clarification from both the groups on their stand and position towards its workers.

In a press release, MIP, NSCN (R) said their leaders have made their stand clear that they would work for peace and unity among the Nagas as they did not believe in violence and fratricide.

MIP said with “such constructive move”, its collective leaders met NSCN (I-M) Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah in Delhi and GPRN/NSCN Ato Kilonser N. Kitovi in Kolkata and were briefed about its position towards peace and unity.

However, MIP said both the factions continue to apprehend NSCN (R) workers in Dimapur, Kohima and Kiphire and made most of them to sign bond agreement while few of the workers joined their organizations.

Maintaining that NSCN (R) had no bad intention towards other Naga Political Groups (NPGs), MIP said the group therefore started meeting at least three NPGs-- NSCN (I-M), GPRN/NSCN and FGN/NNC] as its leaders believed in peace and unity.

The group appealed to other NPGs to utilize the present opportunity for the good of all the Nagas, adding that unison in all aspects of life was needed.

Further, the NSCN (Reformation) has urged upon the NSCN (I-M) to lead the Nagas in transparent manner and open its political agendas to other NPGs and Naga people if it was for the Nagas.

It also appealed to other NPGs to think for the general Nagas and ask NSCN (I-M) to place the framework on the table for “national debate.”
